Do Less to Create More Value

In a world of accelerating organizational change and complexity, creating a competitive edge requires switching from a mindset of “Do More with Less” to one of “Do Less to Create More Value” -- doing less in some areas in order to create time and space for innovation and sustainable value creation.

This 4-hour interactive workshop provides foundational concepts and practical tools you can immediately apply in your enterprise to measure and manage the flow of value, and to make value informed portfolio, program and project level decisions. It will help you shift your thinking:

FROM TO
“more is better” “less is best”
“do more with less “do less and achieve more”
”increased output” “decreased output and increased outcomes”

In the workshop we first introduce Value Drivers, a technique for clarifying enterprise priorities and helping everyone in the organization understand how they create value. Then we explore how to use Value Drivers in your organization: how to create an Enterprise Value Model, how to develop Value Stories, and how to create a Value Strategy Map. We'll wrap up with an exploration of the emerging trend of PMOs becoming Value Management Offices.
