Ken Ambrose
Ken's rigorous formal systems analysis and programming training, along with his number-crunching background and over 13 years of software industry experience, continues to serves him well today as a very customer focused requirements engineer, database and ETL architect, and .NET and SQL programmer. Ken has an MCP designation in SQL Server Design and Implementation from Microsoft, and has earned a certificate in computers and information systems from U.C. Berkeley Extension. Completing the certificate program in 1997, early in the history of the dotcom bubble, Ken honed his skills in the web development space developing the front and back ends of both customer facing web applications and internal analytical applications. His consulting work follows a 20 year career in the printing industry, first on the shop floor and finally as a print production planner and estimator using specialized industry software. Steven Archibald
Steven has over 30 years experience in the Information Technology Industry and has been an independent consultant since 1988. He has been involved in every phase of system development, from analysis through system installation. Projects have ranged from one-man development efforts to multi-staff-year efforts. He has fulfilled all roles from coder to architect and manager. His specialties are system architecture and database design, with over 15 years experience using modern RDBMS systems. Steve Bockman
Steve Bockman is an independent software developer who began his career in 1977 in a utility position, installing software packages for a manufacturer of business computers. Since then he has worked in the fields of speech recognition, terrain analysis, computer graphics, desktop publishing, industrial automation and web applications.
Steve’s first exposure to anything Agile occurred in 2000, but his involvement began in earnest in 2005 while participating in the development of a client/server application where changing requirements were part of the ground rules. Steve was responsible for introducing Agile principles and practices to the project, and has been an Agile coach and innovator since that project's inception.
As the founder of North Bay Agile, a special interest group dedicated to the pursuit and study of Agile software development in the San Francisco North Bay, Steve continually strives to communicate the essence of Agile development to novices and advanced practitioners. He has given presentations on estimation, test-driven development, pair programming and refactoring at North Bay Agile, BayXP, BayAPLN and BAADD, as well as at the Agile2007 and Agile2008 conferences.
Audrey Cole
Audrey Cole originally fell in love with databases in the early 1980s while serving as a manager in a communications company. They gave her a tool unlike any other, and she knew then that databases would be her life. Ms. Cole has run her own successful microcomputer consulting business since 1985. She taught courses in hardware, operating systems and applications - including word processing, spreadsheets and databases - nationally for over a decade. Her focus for the last couple of decades has been databases - planning, creating, implementing and supporting databases. She has taught end-user and developer courses in Filemaker, Access and Visual FoxPro. Ms. Cole has always felt the combination of teaching and development work brings a depth and breadth to each that neither can do alone. John Hanson
John brings over 20 years of experience in production management and information technology. He is an expert in Microsoft SQL server and has programmed applications in Visual Basic, VB.NET, C# and several scripting languages. Mr. Hanson is the architect and co-author of the MEDePass ASN.1 .NET Toolkit which was recognized by Microsoft in a case study.
